Construction of Data Center Valley in Kazakhstan to begin in June

Construction of the Data Center Valley in Ekibastuz is set to begin in June. Geodetic work at the site has already been completed, engineering and geological surveys are underway, and preparations are in progress for the foundations of future modular blocks. The project’s status was reviewed at a meeting chaired by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. The discussion covered power supply, data storage and processing, and information security, taking into account leading international practices and the requirements of technology partners. A pool of potential participants has been formed for the initiative, including major global companies in artificial intelligence and cloud solutions. The project also includes plans to develop a local AI ecosystem, train specialists, and support startup programs in artificial intelligence, based at the international center Alem.ai.
