Kazakh Prime Minister reviews major projects in Zhambyl region

Kazakhstan exports its cement to Uzbekistan, Russia, and the Kyrgyz Republic through a plant located in the Zhambyl region. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov visited the facility during a working trip to the region, where he was briefed on its operations. The plant has a production capacity of 1.3 million tons of cement annually and is equipped with an intelligent Distributed Control System (DCS), allowing the entire technological process to be managed from a central control panel. Bektenov also inspected the industrial trade and logistics complex on the border with the Kyrgyz Republic. Kazakh Ambassador to this country Rapil Zhoshybayev and Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov provided updates on the site in detail. Currently, infrastructure is being established to support cooperative projects in the production of dairy, meat, berry, vegetable, textile, and pharmaceuticals. The primary goal is to produce new goods and ensure their effective integration into international distribution networks.

«The Industrial Trade and Logistics Complex  (ITLC) will enable us to increase trade turnover and implement joint industrial and logistics projects - these are very important initiatives. Therefore, there should be no delays. For our part, we are fulfilling and will continue to fulfill all of our obligations,» Bektenov said.
