Nurgisa Tlendiyev’s works were performed in Moscow at
a concert evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great Kazakh
composer. The event took place at the Helikon Opera Musical Theater, where his
iconic compositions, celebrated for their distinctive sound and atmosphere,
were performed by the Akzhauyn Chamber Orchestra, the State Folk Dance Ensemble
Altynai, and leading stars of the Kazakh stage. The audience - which
included not only Moscow residents but also guests from abroad - greeted the
performers with thunderous applause. Celebrations honoring the Treasury of world culture, will continue in
other regions of Russia.
«The anniversary of Nurgisa Tlendiyev - People’s Artist of Kazakhstan and the USSR, renowned composer, and master of kui - is being celebrated this year under the auspices of UNESCO. The governor’s office of the Almaty region has already organized events in several countries, including China and the Kyrgyz Republic. Now the anniversary is being marked in the Russian capital, Moscow,» said Daniyar Aliyev, head of the Almaty Region Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation.
