Central Asian scholars explore history of Kazakh statehood

The history and development of Kazakh statehood, from its origins to the present day, were topics of discussion among scientists and experts from Central Asia and the Turkic world in Astana. An international conference was held at the Eurasian National University (ENU), featuring a collection of studies by renowned historian Satai Syzdykov. Participants noted that the professor’s extensive research focuses on the chronicles and culture of the Karluk and Karakhanid states, foundational in shaping Kazakh statehood. The scholars’ reports provide a scientific basis for understanding the centuries-old evolution of this history. They can also serve as a valuable reference for further in-depth studies of the history of Kazakhstan and other countries within the Turkic world.

«Historians have an important task – uncovering the details of our rich history. Our President supports integration processes in Central Asia, which encompass not only political and economic cooperation but also the advancement of scientific and technical relations. This has led to an unprecedented level of collaboration among Central Asian scholars, driven by a model of scientific cooperation, which enables researchers to delve deeper into history,» said Baubek Somzhurek, director of the ENU Higher School of Education.

«This region encourages us to initiate joint projects in the future and explore new, unknown pages. The participation of scientists from the Central Asian states and other countries, along with their informative reports and articles, will greatly contribute to uncovering previously unexplored aspects of our history,» noted Rakhmail Safarov, researcher at the Tajik National University.
