Cases involving jurors in Kazakhstan increase twofold

Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Supreme Court Aslambek Mergaliyev reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the judiciary’s performance in 2024. He highlighted that Kazakhstan achieved its highest quality of justice in five years, with 98.9 percent of local court decisions recognized legal and justified. Mergaliyev also noted an increase in conciliation procedures in civil and administrative cases and a doubling of cases involving jurors. Tokayev emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and enhancing public trust in the judicial system.
