Member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) agreed to expand industrial and digital cooperation. Relevant memoranda were signed at a business forum in Astana. Representatives of the business community, chambers of commerce, and investment institutions from OTS member states discussed the implementation of joint projects in transport and logistics, industry, agriculture, and the digital sector. In particular, businesses are interested in creating a unified platform for automated partner search, market analysis, and supply chain development, which is expected to increase mutual trade. Last year, Kazakhstan’s trade turnover with OTS countries reached nearly $13 billion.
«Trade turnover among the countries increased by more than 36 percent in 2025, which is a strong result. Direct investment from Turkic states into Kazakhstan’s economy is also on the rise. According to 2025 results, the figure reached nearly half a billion dollars. As for Turkish capital, investments over the past 20 years have exceeded 6 billion dollars,» said Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Kazakh Chamber of International Commerce.
Participants say that amid the transformation of global logistics chains, the potential of the Middle Corridor will be further unlocked through cooperation among OTS member states. The main focus is on synchronizing infrastructure capabilities and simplifying customs procedures. This is expected to significantly expand economic integration among OTS countries. For Türkiye and other member states of the Organization, Kazakhstan provides broader access to the markets of China and the Asia-Pacific region. For Kazakhstan, Türkiye opens access to European markets.
«Kazakhstan
is one of the most significant digital economies in the Eurasian region.
Endowed with resource reserves, the country is striving to become a key
industrial and technological centre, as well as a digital hub. Our priority is
to implement free trade agreements among Turkic states and facilitate duty-free
trade,» said Adem Kula, Secretary General of the Union
of Turkic Chambers of
Commerce and Industry.
