A unique exhibition titled «The Second Ascent» of the renowned British sculptor Unus Safardiar has opened in Astana. It is organised in Kazakhstan for the first time. The exposition features original installations, modern futuristic video canvases, as well as the artist's graphic sketches, all of which have previously been displayed worldwide. The works are created in various styles and genres, but they share a common theme: each piece vividly reflects the author's perspective on human history and civilizational transformation. Notably, Unus Safardiar's exhibition will run at the National Museum of Kazakhstan until November 17.
«Humanity has never
been like this before. The era of modern art is coming to an end, and for
nearly a century, we have been living in the postmodern art era, now witnessing
its apex. It has no unified directions or common meanings - each individual
follows their own path and finds their own meaning. The singular narrative no
longer exists; instead, there are thousands, even millions of individual
stories. This is the defining feature of postmodernism,» said sculptor Unus Safardiar.
