Next month, Astana will once again serve as a platform for global dialogue, hosting the eighth Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions on September 17-18. This large-scale event is expected to bring together more than 100 delegations from 60 countries. The congress program, titled Dialogue of Religions: Synergy for the Future, promises to be extensive. Panel sessions will address issues of faith in the modern world - in the era of digitalization and the development of artificial intelligence (AI) - as well as the role of religion in uniting humanity and promoting sustainable global development.
«The scope of the
congress is expanding, with its geographical reach, youth involvement, and range of topics widening. While
discussions previously focused only on spiritual and religious issues, today the agenda also includes
sustainable development, environmental security, artificial intelligence (AI), the world’s
vision for the future, and other topics,» noted Darkhan Kydyrali, Member of the Senate, Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament.
