Modern infrastructure, networking, tax benefits and PR support - such opportunities are provided by the international technology park Astana Hub to its participants. Over 800 domestic and foreign companies are registered there at present. The hub participants annually undergo acceleration and incubation programs. Over the past five years, more than 2,000 people have become their graduates, while another 15,000 have completed various educational programs.
“The hub has been actively developing the issue of startups since 2018, that is, our students can obtain fundamentals and upgrade their knowledge in the startup field here. We have all kinds of programs, from a junior to an advanced-level startup when they learn to attract investments. We have a lot of free of charge programs available, it was done on purpose, as we want to encourage and develop the IT market in Kazakhstan,” said Assem Tolegenkyzy, Chief Manager of the Corporate Innovation and Digital Competence Office at the Astana Hub.
Dmitry Makeyev’s company has been based on the territory of Astana Hub for over two years. It is developing a popular IT product that focuses on entertaining games for children and adults. Animated characters have already won recognition from millions of users worldwide. Whereas workshops and acceleration programs have led to impressive sales.
“We have already undergone several acceleration programs here. We are thankful to Astana Hub for the knowledge it provides, as well as for organizing a coworking space, where we can learn about other startup projects, share knowledge and experience. Overall, this community even helps in recruiting new clients,” added Dmitry Makeyev, Head of a game development company.
According to Astana Hub, companies managed to save a total of over 17 billion tenge last year due to tax benefits. Experts say that the progress in creating conditions for its participants is absolutely obvious.
