The Astana Ballet Theater hosted an evening of
symphonic and instrumental music, featuring some of the finest works by
renowned classical composers, including Ludwig van Beethoven. The event was organized as part of the
theater’s «Names» project, aimed at bringing together the country’s most
outstanding soloists and musicians - artists who have become symbols of the
nation’s musical culture. The program included performances by laureates of
international competitions, whose talents are widely recognized abroad. Among
them are violinist Kalamkas Jumabayeva, cellist Yermek Kurmanayev, and pianist
Amir Tebenikhin. They mesmerized the audience with their performance of
Beethoven’s Triple Concerto for violin, cello, and piano. The theater’s
orchestra presented Franz Schubert’s renowned Symphony No. 8.
«Just over three years ago, when the theater finally
succeeded in creating its own orchestra, that was when it all began - the idea
of launching a truly unique project. Our first guest and performer was Amir
Tebenikhin, a fellow countryman who now resides in Europe. An exceptional
musician and a brilliant pianist, he took part in that inaugural concert. It
was our first attempt, and it was a success. Since then, we have held at least
one concert, sometimes even two,» said Arman Urazgaliyev, Chief Conductor of
the Astana Ballet Symphony Orchestra.
