The annual inflation in 16 regions of Kazakhstan accelerated in July and amounted to 15 percent, the representatives of the National Bank of the country stated. They clarified that Atyrau region recorded the greatest inflation. The financial regulator also noted that the growth rate of prices on food increased by almost 20 percent this month. Mangystau region records the biggest price increase in this category. Prices on non-food items surged most noticeably in the capital of the country and Ulytau region. At the same time, paid services remained at 9.2 percent in July. In Turkistan region, however, they grew significantly higher than the national level. Residents of Aktobe and Zhambyl regions witnessed the rise in paid services to a lesser extent.
