All textbooks in Kazakhstan have
been transferred to digital format. They have successfully passed state
expertise and are included in the list of educational and methodical complexes.
According to the country’s Ministry of Education, digital textbooks have been
developed for 11 platforms, represented by 13 publishing houses in the country.
“Textbooks for all secondary school
subjects have been fully translated into digital formats, including multimedia,
animations, videos, appropriate explanations, and virtual laboratories. Of
course, the use of electronic textbooks and information technologies in the
educational process provides teachers with the opportunity to diversify
lessons, making them more interesting, accessible, and extensive,” said Maira
Meldebekova, spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of Education.
Besides, work is currently
underway to open 1,345 classrooms for robotics, STEM, chemistry, physics, and
biology. They will be available in over 1,000 schools across the country by
year-end.
