Three national parks in south-eastertn Kazakhstan seek investors to develop ecotourism. The competition to choose the funding sources was announced by the management of Kolsai Lakes, Altyn Emel and Sharyn National Parks.
Kazakh Vice Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nysanbayev said that infrastructure projects include the construction of visitor centers, glamping sites, ethnic auyls, viewing points and other facilities. All renovation works are expected to be completed in 2023. Investors will be required to comply with the legislation on specially protected natural areas. Any interested investor can take part in the competition for the development of ecotourism in national parks.
“The tender documents will be available on the Internet for 20 days. During these 20 days, proposals from investors will be considered. After that, the administration of the National Natural Park should include them in the tender documentation,” said Yelnur Akhmetov, Director of the Sharyn State National Natural Park.
