More than $7 billion - this is the amount of investment attracted since the beginning of last year through the platform of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). This was reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev by AIFC Governor Renat Bekturov. Overall, since the Centre began operations, more than $21 billion in investments have been attracted. At the same time, AIFC participants have paid 284 billion tenge in taxes to the country’s budget, about half of which was generated last year. The increase in tax revenues was driven by the growing number of participants and their active operations. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 1,800 new companies have been registered in the AIFC. The President was also briefed on the performance of the AIX Exchange, where total trading volume over the past two years reached $4 billion. The AIFC Court and the International Arbitration Centre reviewed more than 1,600 cases last year. The Centre’s Governor also reported on the launch of new projects, including in aviation, geological exploration, and the creative industries.

particular, he emphasized the need to strengthen the Centre’s international
presence, improve its regulatory environment, and scale up the AIFC’s
experience to support the development of Kazakhstan’s financial market as a
whole,» Renat Bekturov noted.
