Assets worth 850 billion tenge have been returned to
Kazakhstan over the past two years. These funds are being used to construct
nearly 400 social and public facilities across the country, 60 of which have
already been commissioned, as reported by Prosecutor General Berik Assylov to
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Head of State was also presented with
information on new approaches to tracing criminal proceeds and prospects for
their use in the national economy. The President instructed those efforts to ensure
the rule of law across all spheres be continued, highlighting priorities such
as combating fraud, drug trafficking, and domestic violence, as well as
protecting businesses from unjustified criminal prosecution.
