A 69-year-old Turkish woman is studying at a Kazakh
university. Kadriye Işıklı, the oldest student in the history of Ahmet Yassawi
University in Turkistan, came to Kazakhstan to learn the Kazakh language and
immerse herself in the culture. She is currently enrolled in the university’s
preparatory center, which provides education to over 200 students. Over the
course of two semesters, participants study Kazakh, Turkish, Russian, and
English. Those who successfully complete the program can continue their
education in their chosen field. Notably, Kadriye Işıklı already holds a degree
in tourism and has traveled to more than 20 countries. Now, her goal is to
explore Central Asia.
«I have been in Kazakhstan for over a month now, studying
Kazakh. I really like this language,» Işıklı shared.
