28 investment projects underway in mining and metallurgical sector

This year, 28 investment projects are being implemented in Kazakhstan’s mining and metallurgical sector. They will create thousands of new jobs and become a driver of economic diversification. Industry development issues were discussed by the heads of mining and metallurgical enterprises, along with representatives of sectoral associations, at a meeting of the Council of Domestic Entrepreneurs, chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. According to him, the state is focusing on moving from a raw material-based model toward deep processing and the production of high-value-added goods. Particular attention was paid to environmental issues and the introduction of modern technologies, including digital solutions and artificial intelligence (AI). Additionally, on July 1 Kazakhstan launched an updated state procurement platform, designed to increase the share of domestic products in the sector. Overall, the country will continue to support enterprises that establish a full production cycle and implement eco-friendly standards.
