128 projects to be commissioned as part of Industrialization Map in Kazakhstan

This year, 128 projects totaling 1.2 trillion tenge (US$2.8 billion) will be commissioned within the framework of the Industrialization Map in Kazakhstan, the country’s Government announced. This will result in an increase in production by 1 trillion tenge (US$2.3 billion), exports by US$800 million and a creation of nearly 12,000 jobs. New vacancies will appear in such fields as food and light industries, production of building materials, metallurgy, mechanical engineering and energy. Among the most important projects in 2021 are the modernization of the Zhairem Mining and Concentrating Complex and the construction of concentrating factory there, the construction of the Saryarka ferroalloy plant and much more.

“There is a positive dynamics in the commissioning of projects in Karagandy, Almaty regions and Shymkent city. The same work should be strengthened in another seven regions, which are Aktobe, Akmola, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar and Turkistan regions, as well as the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty. I instruct mayors and governors to personally control the implementation of each project and ensure their commissioning by the end of the year,” said Askar Mamin, Kazakh Prime Minister.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his state-of-the-nation address set a task to increase the export of manufacturing industry by 1.5 times and labor productivity by 30 percent by 2025. This is what the timely and high-quality implementation of the Industrialization Map projects should ensure.
