For the first time, 12 Kazakh
universities have entered the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability
2024. They were evaluated based on criteria such as social impact,
environmental impact, and governance. Overall, the list of leading universities
in achieving Sustainable Development Goals features 1,397 higher education
institutions from 95 countries and territories, nearly double the number of
participants compared to the ranking’s pilot edition last year. The top five
universities are located in Canada, the U.S., the UK, and New Zealand.
