Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan
Smailov congratulated the winners and medalists on their outstanding performance
at the 2023 Asian Para Games on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Kazakh athletes secured eight gold, 12 silver and 21 bronze medals at the competitions
in Hangzhou, China. A total of 131 athletes represented Kazakhstan in 14
sports.
“Your dedication and unwavering
spirit inspire millions of people to overcome life’s obstacles and succeed.
Your triumphant performance showcased boundless human capabilities. For the
younger generation, each of your lives stands as a testament to mastery, courage
and, of course, perseverance. Without these skills, achieving high-level sporting
results would be impossible. The mentors and coaches who supported you
throughout your journey deserve special recognition. All of you fought with
truly Olympic mindset to win. Today’s success at the Asian Para Games is a
solid foundation for future Paralympic achievements,” the Prime Minister said.
On behalf of the Head of State,
Smailov presented letters of thanks and gifts to the winners and medallists of
the Asian Para Games, and their coaches. Also, the Kazakhstan Paralympic Judo
Federation received a letter of appreciation from President Tokayev.
