The feature film ‘Qara
Qyz’ by the renowned Kazakh filmmaker Talgat Temenov is gearing up for its
release. This war drama narrates the courage of Kazakh soldiers during the
Second World War and the valor and selflessness of Kazakh girls. The filming
took place in the North Kazakhstan and Almaty regions. The movie stars Nurai
Saktapova and Yerlan Kulmurzin in the lead roles and was commissioned by the
Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports. The soundtrack will be performed by
Dimash Kudaibergen. The film budget is estimated at 578 million tenge. Its
premiere is scheduled for this autumn.
