AMEN Animation Film Festival takes place in Turkistan

The best animated films from the film animators of the Turkic-speaking countries. The third international festival ‘Amen’ was held in Turkistan. It was attended by film makers from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries. 49 animated films of various types and genres were presented to the audience. Well-known figures of the domestic as well as world animation evaluated the works. The ‘Amen’ festival has already become traditional. It was named after the Kazakh animation director Amen Khaidarov. The organizers are planning to hold the event abroad in the future.

“We have been participating for years. Last time, we presented the film ‘Stream’. It was very well welcomed. It was awarded the title ‘the Best Animated Film in Original Art Style,’ said Azizbek Mukhamedov, Uzbek director and animator.

“Basically, animation art in our country has great potential from the point of view of education. Indeed, according to famous psychologists and scientists, it is the animated feature films that influence the consciousness of the child 2-3 times more than the family,” added Bolat Tlepov, Kazakh vice Minister of Information and Social Development.
