The volume of non-cash payments in Kazakhstan is growing. Citizens are less likely to use cash. According to the ranking.kz, overall, in the country, 8 out of 10 tenge from the total turnover on payment cards accounted for the clearing payments. Last year, cashless transactions on the territory of Kazakhstan exceeded 64 trillion tenge (US$146.8 billion). For comparison, this is over two times more than in 2020. Internet and mobile phone account for significant amount. At the same time, the country’s citizens cashed out 10.7 trillion tenge (US$24.5 billion) in POS terminals.
