Turkistan, a spiritual centre of the Turkic world, has joined the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC), the press office of the city’s mayor reported. This, in turn, will attract more tourists to the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.
The OWHC helps member cities adapt in accordance with the specific requirements for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List and improve their management methods. To this end, the 10th International Conference of Eurasia World Heritage Cities will be held in Turkistan on April 2. It will be held as part of the OWHC partnership.
