The Turkish conglomerate Eren
Holding will consider potential projects for investment in Kazakhstan, as it
became known during a meeting between Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov and
CEO of Eren Holding Ahmet Eren. Alikhan Smailov highlighted that today there
are more than 4,000 companies with Turkish capital operating in the country.
Projects have already been launched in such industries as the mining and
metallurgical complex, food industry, infrastructure and pharmaceuticals. Smailov
also expressed confidence that the countries have new prospects for
cooperation, pointing out that all necessary conditions have been created for
investors in the country, including a modern institutional environment,
exemption from customs duties, various tax incentives and guarantees of tax
legislation stability. In turn, Ahmet Eren stated that the holding is
considering new investment opportunities in other areas as well, among which
are paper production, energy and textile industry. Following the meeting, the
parties reached an agreement to work on a pool of potential investment projects
in Kazakhstan.
