Trade between Kazakhstan and Romania rose by nearly 30 percent. Over the eight months of the current year, it amounted to US$1.045 billion. The main share of mutual trade turnover fell on exports. It amounted to around US$1.5 billion, whereas imports amounted to only US$48 million. According to data from the Foreign Ministry, Romania is one of Kazakhstan’s key trade and economic partners in the European Union. The country’s mutual trade with EU member states has increased by 43 percent this year, exceeding US$26 billion in monetary terms. Exports of domestic goods to the EU grew by half to more than US$22 billion.
