Artisans from Astana
showcased their products at the regional stage of the One Village, One Product
project. These included original items and goods made from local raw materials,
using traditional techniques and reflecting cultural heritage. Following the
exhibition, 10 out of 50 entrepreneurs were selected as the best, with three set
to receive grants of five million tenge each for the purchase of equipment. The
winners will also receive comprehensive support, including assistance with
branding, certification, and export promotion. Notably, the One Village, One
Product project aims to foster local entrepreneurship.
«Many people from
Europe buy and use my product. It is especially in demand among people with
disabilities, the elderly, those who are overweight, and most often, pregnant
women. Rehabilitation centers and nursing homes also purchase it, especially
abroad, where such facilities are common. That’s why I believe it’s a product
that doesn’t need much advertising, but it’s something truly essential to have
at home,» shared artisan Bauyrzhan Kaishubayev.
«Artisans are still
relatively unknown in our city, so we’re doing our best to support them,
especially in terms of marketing. The project is being implemented across
Kazakhstan, with a nearly simultaneous rollout in all regions,» noted Azamat Zhussipbek,
head of the department at the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs,
Astana.
