The digital vaccine passports will be integrated with the Ashyq app from July 1, Kazakh Health Minister Alexey Tsoy announced. The certificate of inoculation will contain data on which vaccines a person received, how many doses and on what dates, he explained. It will be issued after the vaccine recipient gets two doses of the drug. In addition, cooperation with the International Air Transport Association on the integration of health passports is currently under consideration. To date, Kazakhstan has vaccinated more than one million citizens against coronavirus. Tsoy also spoke about increasing the vaccine choices that will be available for the population.
“Today we will receive an additional Arab vaccine, which is produced by the technology of the Chinese ‘Sinopharm’ company. We are currently waiting for the arrival of this vaccine to distribute it to the regions. Thus, we will have three vaccines available for the population in our mass vaccination campaign,” Tsoy said.
