The main trends in fundamental sciences, their current
state, development prospects, and the digitalization of the sector were
discussed at the V Forum of Scientists of the CIS Member States in Dushanbe.
The event brought together over 70 specialists, including heads of relevant
ministries, leaders of the academies of sciences, major research centers, and
universities from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus,
Moldova, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Special attention was given to enhancing the
innovative potential of CIS countries and expanding scientific ties. The Forum
also hosted the first meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the CIS
Member States.
«This is a very important event of its kind, as it creates
opportunities to establish horizontal ties between scientists, enabling us to
discover new forms of communication and new scientific projects that promote
the development of fundamental science. We hope this forum will lead to new
meetings, new acquaintances, and, of course, new ideas for science,» said Maria
Ivchenkova, a PhD Candidate in Sociology from Russia.
