Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar, in
her lecture for students at Nazarbayev University, discussed global issues such
as climate change, water scarcity, AI regulation, and gender equality. She
emphasized that addressing these challenges requires collective efforts, and
despite criticism of international institutions, multilateral cooperation
remains a crucial tool. The President also noted that each country can
influence the global agenda through its initiatives, citing Slovenia’s efforts
to protect bees and water resources, which have been recognized internationally
and contribute to sustainable development. Following the lecture, Pirc Musar
answered students’ questions and shared the outcomes of her discussions with
the Kazakh government.
«Healthy economical business environment is
the key point. That means, predictable tax politics. And if politics is signing
many agreements, which are a good basis for business development later on, that’s
what we have to do. And we did this today in Astana. Three memorandums were
signed, two more are in progress. and I’m pretty sure that the bilateral
exchange could be much bigger. And there are many opportunities for that,» she
said.
