Opera singers from
the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) performed in
the Kazakh capital. The concert, featuring their participation, was held as
part of the Operaliya International Festival at Astana Opera. According to the
Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports, the evening featured most famous
compositions such as the musical piece ‘Toibastar’ and Abai's aria ‘Kai Talky’
from the opera ‘Abai’ by Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Hamidi. Artists from China,
Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Bashkortostan also delighted the
audience with their performances of popular compositions.
