Residents of Almaty region's Ulken village show active voter turnout in referendum

From the early morning, residents of the village of Ulken in the Almaty region have been showing an active voter turnout at the polling station. During the first hour of voting, over 150 people arrived at polling station No. 332 and filled out ballots regarding the construction of a nuclear power plant. Notably, one of the proposed locations for the nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan could be the village of Ulken.

«We hope that the nuclear power plant will be a bright future for Kazakhstan. And our future generations will thank us. I think that our small village will prosper,» the village resident shared.
