From the early
morning, residents of the village of Ulken in the Almaty region have been showing
an active voter turnout at the polling station. During the first hour of
voting, over 150 people arrived at polling station No. 332 and filled out
ballots regarding the construction of a nuclear power plant. Notably, one of
the proposed locations for the nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan could be the
village of Ulken.
«We hope that the nuclear power plant will be a
bright future for Kazakhstan. And our future generations will thank us. I think
that our small village will prosper,» the village resident shared.
