Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev gave an extensive interview to the Euronews TV channel. On the
sidelines of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA)
summit in Baku, the Head of State spoke to foreign media about Kazakhstan’s
economic potential and the development of economic ties between countries.
Advisor and Press Secretary of the Kazakh President Berik Uali reported this on
his Facebook account. According to him, President Tokayev discussed
Kazakhstan’s plans for decarbonization and economic diversification as well as
the measures taken to protect the environment, including the gradual reduction
of coal usage in the country’s energy balance, during the conversation with a
reporter from a leading European news media providing 24/7 news. It bears
noting that Euronews plans to broadcast the interview later this week.
