Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s working visit to
the Zhetisu region continued in the Karatal district. In the village of
Yeskeldi bi, the Head of State toured the House of Culture, which opened this
year. The facility currently hosts a library and creative groups, including
ensembles of grandmothers and dombyra players, as well as a dance club.
This year, five cultural centres were renovated, and eight
clubs were built in remote villages across the region. However, the region
focuses on fostering not only creativity but also a healthy spirit, which is
tied to a healthy body. To promote physical activity, 15 sports facilities have
been opened in the villages, including one in the village of Yeskeldi bi.
Sections for togyzkumalak, chess, checkers, boxing, wrestling, volleyball, and
basketball have opened their doors to local residents. During his conversation
with the children, President Tokayev emphasized that the state is creating
conditions for the younger generation to learn and engage in sports.
In the town of Ushtobe, the Head of State visited the
secondary school named after Kemel Tokayev and was briefed by the school
principal on the achievements of the students. He also toured the museum named
after Kemel Tokayev, where personal belongings, photographs, documents, and
books are displayed. The students presented an intellectual game dedicated to
the life and works of the writer, as well as a performance based on his novels.
President Tokayev was also informed about the activities of the Kemel Tokayev
Charity Fund, which was established 15 years ago. Next, the Head of State
toured the updated military recruitment office of the Karatal district. The
Defense Minister briefed the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the smart military commissariat project, which
automatically registers Kazakh citizens reaching the age of 17 for military
service. The ministry has also developed an information system for mobilization
resources. The portal covers all men in Kazakhstan aged 16 to 60. Thanks to
digitization, about seven million people are currently registered for military
service. Another digital project by the Ministry of Defense is the Armia.kz
information service, aimed at organizing educational and ideological work with
military personnel. President Tokayev spoke with the conscripts and wished them
success in their service.
«Serving the people is a civic duty and a sacred
responsibility. I wish you success in your military careers and hope you become
generals. Serve with honor and dignity, and remain true to your oath!» Tokayev
said.
«It is a great honor for me to serve in the army of
Kazakhstan. Serving the homeland is the duty of every Kazakh citizen. After
completing my military service, I plan to enroll in a university, using the
opportunity to apply for a grant without considering UNT scores,» said conscript
Bogdan Chumakov.
