The danger level Five was assigned to the wildfires in the eastern Kazakhstan, as the dead wood is burning there. Fires were extinguished in Tarkhanka and Ulan district; they are currently under 24-hour surveillance. All forces were put to the Kurshim district, where the fire engulfed 1,300 hectares of land. Over 300 people, more than 30 pieces of equipment and two helicopters are tackling the fire. The emergency response team holds a meeting twice a day. Governor of the East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov turned to social media to announce that there is no fire threat to the residents of Kamenny Karier village in the Glubokovsky district and refuted reports about the evacuation of people.
