Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Nazym
Kyzaibay on her historic victory. She became the first three-time world
champion in Kazakh boxing history. At the World Championships in Serbia,
Kyzaibay secured a dominant 5:0 victory over Russia’s Iuliia Chumgalakova in
the final. The Kazakh boxer had previously won gold in 2014 and 2016, as well
as a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.
