Kazakhstan will send a
record number of 44 athletes to the 17th Summer Paralympic Games in Paris,
which will take place from August 28 to September 8. This marks the largest
participation in Kazakhstan’s history at the Paralympics. The athletes won 33
licenses. They will compete in nine sports out of 23, including para-athletics,
para-powerlifting, para-taekwondo, para-swimming, para-judo, para-canoe, as
well as debut appearances in sitting volleyball, para-table tennis, and
para-shooting. Historically, Kazakhstan’s Paralympic athletes have won seven
medals, including two golds, four silvers, and one bronze.
