Preparations for Victory Parade underway in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is preparing for a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory, set for May 7 in Astana. The National Guard will participate with 17 modern armored vehicles and over 400 military personnel. National Guard members are currently inspecting the vehicles, performing maintenance, and polishing their exteriors—all to ensure the armored equipment looks flawless for the large-scale event.

«National Guard armored vehicles have been prepared for the parade, with Alan-2 and Barys 6×6 models expected to take part. The National Guard is always ready to showcase its military capabilities,» said Arsen Shaimardanov, Head of the Armored Vehicle Service, Kazakh National Guard.

This year, 4,500 service members will take part in the parade. For the first time, each formation will march while carrying the battle flags of units formed in Kazakhstan. Additionally, columns of military personnel in historical uniforms will join the parade.
