Political figures: Kazakhstan’s initiatives address global crises

Kazakhstan is again in the vanguard of international peacekeeping activities. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during his speech at the General Debate of the UN General Assembly’s 78th session, has clearly outlined the range of issues and put forward specific proposals for solving global crises. According to Ali Bektayev, a member of the Senate, the Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament, the initiatives proposed by the Head of State uphold the interests of all humanity. President Tokayev’s statement that Kazakhstan is ready to become a regional hub for food supplies deserves special attention. This will prevent the growth of tension in Central Asia, and thus, preserve a favorable climate for economic growth in the region. Overall, the eventful program of the Kazakh President’s working visit to New York and the schedule of his meetings clearly demonstrate the country’s leadership not only in the region, but also worldwide, politicians note.

“As always, the Head of State raised very acute issues. I believe that this is a very historic trip for our President, given that all the issues were covered there. I think the President’s authority and his role in diplomatic terms will play a very important role between the states, especially in the development of our country. We are looking forward to great success, particularly in terms of investments in Kazakhstan’s economy, as well as addressing the geopolitical situation around the world,” said Ali Bektayev, Kazakh Senate member.
