In Kazakhstan, the term ‘disabled person’ will be replaced by ‘person with disability’. Moreover, those who accompany a child with special needs for sanatorium treatment will be reimbursed by 70 percent of the cost of the tour. This was announced by Mazhilis member Jamilya Nurmanbetova at the plenary session of the lower house of the Parliament. According to her, they will also be on a priority waitlist of the healthcare organizations. In Kazakhstan, amendments and additions to the draft law on improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities are being included in 75 legislative acts, 11 codes and 64 laws. This initiative was put forward by a group of MPs.
“In the case of private notaries, persons with disabilities in the third group will be included in the category of people exempted from payment for legal and technical services. There are also other provisions to ensure respect for the rights of persons with disabilities. In addition, norms are being introduced to provide a guaranteed volume of free medical care and special social services to foreigners who have become victims of human trafficking, if these facts are revealed on the territory of Kazakhstan,” Nurmanbetova said.
