Over 600 Kazakh children have
received free air tickets within the Kids Go Free program since the beginning
of the year. Thus, the program allowed 300 Kazakh families who chose to spend
their vacations in the homeland to save up to 26 million tenge. According to the
Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports, one tour usually has two children on
average. The most profitable trip in June was the Astana - Shymkent - Astana
route.
“Kids Go Free is a program for
family tourism developed by the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports. The program
operator is the Kazakh Tourism national company. It allows Kazakh citizens to
get free air tickets for children aged from two to 17 years by purchasing a domestic
tour package from a tour operator,” said Akmaral Menlibek, spokesperson for the
Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports.
