More than 30 memorandums of cooperation were signed on the sidelines of the Digital Bridge international forum in Astana. The largest technology platform in Central Asia brought together over 30,000 participants from around 30 countries, including investors, experts, startup founders, and IT company representatives. Speaking at the forum’s plenary session, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that the Kazakh government is open to joint efforts in implementing strategically important projects. He noted that digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence(AI) are among the key national priorities set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
«Digital infrastructure is currently being expanded, educational centers are opening, and 20 universities now offer programs in artificial intelligence. Around 500,000 citizens are learning the fundamentals of AI through the AI Qyzmet, AI Sana, Tomorrow School, and QazCoders programs. Particular attention is also being paid to institutional work. Kazakhstan ranks 24th globally in e-government development and 10th in online services,» Bektenov noted.
As part of the forum, an award ceremony was held to honor the winners of the Digital Bridge Awards. The Prime Minister presented awards to the best domestic IT projects and digital initiatives, and visited an exhibition of digital solutions showcased by local companies and startups.
«Our
sensors, manufactured in Kazakhstan, help optimize the operation of oil wells,
making them more efficient and productive. This is the VANGUARD-AI system, all its microprocessors
are easy to install on equipment and are already in practical use. We are proud
to have signed agreements with two companies in the U.S., where this technology is already widely applied,» said developer Nurassyl Jarbassov.
