Kazakhstan is revealing its resource potential. In 2024, 22 new deposits were registered in the country as a result of geological exploration activities. For the first time, 12 solid mineral deposits, four hydrocarbon deposits, and six groundwater deposits were added to the registry. Since the beginning of the year, reports on geological exploration results have undergone state examination. The registered deposits contain gold, silver, copper, zinc, iron ore, lead, tungsten, chromium, molybdenum and manganese. To date, more than 100 deposits of rare and rare-earth metals have been identified in the country. To facilitate and digitize geological and mining processes, a unified subsoil user platform was launched this year. Currently, over 56,000 geological reports are available on the portal.
