The Operalia international festival has kicked
off in Astana. This year, it features a wide range of participants, including
creative ensembles and renowned opera and ballet artists from Europe and Asia.
A delightful surprise for the guests at the gala evening was the appearance of
soloists from the Italian Opera, who traditionally walked the red carpet alongside
other distinguished guests. The theatrical show held in the foyer of the Astana
Opera theatre also garnered enthusiastic reviews. Operalia’s rich program includes
the finest examples of opera, ballet, and musical art.
«Kazakh opera receives special attention at the festival. We attach great importance to the rich cultural heritage of our country. Each performance on stage is unique and presented on a par with world-class opera,» said Yerenbak Toikenov, stage director at the Astana Opera theatre.
The Operalia festival will continue until July 13.
