The primary objective of the
unique Qazaq Culture project is to promote Kazakhstan’s history and rich
cultural heritage. Central to the information platform is data from the country’s
archives, complemented by information about modern achievements. The website’s main
section is a news blog featuring interesting regional projects such as
festivals, competitions, theatrical productions, film premieres, works of both established
and emerging writers. To cater to international visitors, the main page is
presented in English, with content available in six official UN languages, as
well as Kazakh and Turkish.
“The portal places significant
emphasis on information technologies, particularly via the ‘Culture of
Kazakhstan through the Prism of Artificial Intelligence’ section. Users can
utilize this technology to explore cultural institutions and historical sites
in any selected city on the map through immersive 3D tours. Additionally, they
have the option to interact with a chatbot to ask questions and receive
responses,” said spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and
Information and Qazaq Culture website developer Elvira Zhurgenbayeva.
“An intriguing feature is the
artificial intelligence section that has over 200,000 images. Visitors can
upload their photos and envision themselves as Kazakh batyrs or warriors. It is
crucial for guests from abroad to have everything on one platform. Moreover,
the portal simplifies ticket purchases for performances and events, offering a
one-stop platform for visitors,” added another website developer Merei
Zeinesh.
