Astana Opera Ballet Company performed on the stage of the Abai Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater with a reciprocal tour. A rich program created by the artistic director of the ballet company Altynai Assylmuratova was presented to the Almaty audience. They performed a gypsy dance from the ballet Don Quixote, an original and colorful composition by Steppe Sons ‘Korkyt’, as well as a ballet on the national theme ‘Call of the Steppe’ to music by Rinat Gaissin. Another pleasant surprise to the Almaty audience was the performance called ‘How Long is It Now?’ Art lovers loved the classics and bright modern choreography.
“We have so much love for the Almaty audience. They are true connoisseurs of art. Almaty spectators know how to feel the ballet, they understand what the great ballet performance is. So we tried to worthily present our theater. The preparation for the tour went very well. We highly respect the spectators of this city. Before that, we showed this performance to the audience in our capital Nur-Sultan twice. So we had the opportunity to perfect the production and to complement it. We have been preparing for two weeks to perform it here,” said Bakhtiyar Adamzhan, leading soloist, Astana Opera.
