Opening of handicraft center proposed in Kazakhstan

A Handicraft Center has been proposed to be established in Kazakhstan. It is expected to become a tourist attraction, where visitors will be able not only to purchase handicrafts that embody the traditions of ancient nomadic life, but also attend a masterclass on how to make them. In addition, the center will provide training and skill upgrading for artisans.

“This center will not only be intended for craftspeople, but it can also become a center of attraction for tourists, for foreign delegations and everyone who visit Nur-Sultan. It would be great to organize excursions for tourists and acquaint them with our national culture. Afterall, handicrafts are the cultural heritage of our nation,” said Bagila Bissembayeva, Chairperson of the Council of Businesswomen of Nur-Sultan Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
