President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Bolat
Zhamishev, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna (For the People of Kazakhstan) Fund,
who reported on the fund’s activities. Over the past three years, 103
charitable projects worth 230 billion tenge have been financed. Specifically,
the funds were allocated for the provision of medical support for patients with
severe diseases, the purchase of modern equipment for oncology centers and
pediatric neurosurgery services, as well as the opening of rehabilitation
clinics and hospitals in the regions. With the help of the fund, 135 rural
schools were modernized, sports halls were built and equipped, and more than
3,000 students received grants. Additionally, the fund supported victims of
floods by financing the construction of over 600 homes. The Head of State commended
the fund’s work and emphasized the important role of charity in the development
of stability and civil society.
