Kazakhstan is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth
of Nurgisa Tlendiyev. To mark the occasion, a concert featuring leading dombyra
players was held at the National Museum in Astana. The musicians performed
well-known works by the great Kazakh composer and conductor. The event was also
dedicated to National Dombyra Day.
Tourists also came to listen to the live performance on the
traditional Kazakh instrument. The piece Oz Elim made a particularly strong
impression on the guests, many began to dance, unable to hide their admiration.
A group of travelers from South Korea said that, despite the language barrier,
the music of the dombyra truly touched their hearts.
