Monitoring groups to resume their work in Kazakhstan

Monitoring groups will resume their work in Kazakhstan due to the worsening epidemiс situation and the spike in coronavirus cases in the country.

“We predicted such a sharp increase. The main thing is to keep the epidemic situation under strict control in all regions of the country. Basic prevention measures include wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. People need to understand that the less they comply with sanitary rules, the higher the infection rate. The work of the monitoring groups therefore needs to be intensified,” Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said at the Government’s meeting.

The Prime Minister instructed the teams monitoring compliance with COVID rules to ensure that people do not gather in large groups, and patients are isolated.
